Two Russian Submarines were brought to the US in 1998:
K-77 1965 Russian Juliett class (Project 651) Bayboro Harbor, St. Petersburg, FL
B 427 1971 Russian Foxtrot class (Project 641) Queen Mary Memorial, Long Beach, CA

There are two more projects to put another nuclear submarine on display:
USS DRUM (SSN 677) Sturgeon class nuclear attack submarine has been approved by congress for return to Mare Island (CA) where it was build in 1970. Founded in 1995, the 100-member Mare Island Park Foundation (+) has proposed this project through the U.S. Navy's Ship Donation Program. This program is based on the law (Title 10 United States Code 7306) which is giving the Secretary of the Navy the authority to donate obsolete or condemned Navy ships to municipalities and qualified non-profit organizations. The Department of Defense Authorization Bill for Fiscal Year 1997 authorizes the Navy to transfer the ship to the city of Vallejo "at no cost to the United States (beyond the cost which the United States would otherwise incur for dismantling and recycling of the vessel)." Drum currently located at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton Washington under Ship/Submarine Recycling Program. There is no guarantee that this project will be ever materialized since Mare Island Historic Park Foundation, Inc. does not have a money to cover the expenses.
Russians have plans to turn K-3 "Leninskiy Komsomol", the first Soviet nuclear submarine, into the museum. She was decommissioned in 1991 and currently located at Ostrovnoy (near Murmansk). Leading Russian design bureau "Malachite" already developed the project, but it is not materialized due to the lack of funds.

K-3 1957  November class (Project 627 / Kit)  Ostrovnoy/Polyarny/Murmansk-140
